복비(福備)

 

복 복(福)자에 갖출 비(備)자를 사용한 ‘복비(福備)’는 가상의 종교적 우상이다. 어린 시절의 위안과 보호를 상징하는 곰 인형의 형태이며, 복과 행복을 불러일으킨다. 인간의 염원과 욕망을 먹고 영생을 얻었다.

"Bokbi (福備)" combines the characters for "fortune" (福) and "prepare" (備), and represents an imaginary religious idol. It takes the form of a teddy bear, symbolizing comfort and protection from childhood. Bokbi is believed to bring luck and happiness. It is said to have attained immortality by feeding on human desires and wishes.
